Travis Kelce speaks out in support of Harrison Butker, but doesn’t go the whole way

Recently, the Kansas City Chiefs kicker gave a controversial speech at his graduation ceremony at Benedictine College.In his speech, he addressed the position of women in society and gave his opinion on the role they should play.

The video went viral and since then, fans, teammates, coaches and even the NFL have spoken out about the player’s statement.

At last Thursday’s press conference, Andy Reid was asked what he thought of the content of the kicker’s speech.

“I didn’t talk to him about [the speech]. We’re a microcosm of life here, from different areas, different religions, races and so we all get along and we all respect each other’s opinions. We respect everybody to have a voice, that’s the great thing about America.” said without extending himself.

Patrick Mahomes must have expected to have to make his comments at some point. The quarterback said that Butker is a guy who cares a lot about his family and the people around him.

The QB also added that there are things his teammate has said that he doesn’t agree with, but that it’s okay for people to have different opinions.
