The series first aired in 2009, and ran for 11 years.
Discussing the sitcom, Motos paused the interview to poke fun at Vergara’s English accent.
“How do you say Modern Family?” he asked.
“I say it wrong? Oh, because you speak better English than me? Ah,” Vergara clapped back.
How important is that? It seems extremely rude to me (and profoundly abnormal as well).”
Another added: “Pablo Motos earned that response. I loved Sofía Vergara putting the person who tried to ridicule her in her place.”
But others felt the interaction between the pair was all in good humor and that they were simply having a joke with one another.
