Chiefs announce special presale for 2024 Super Bowl LVIII flags on Wednesday

We’re less than a calendar month away from the start of what could be a historic Chiefs season.
The Chiefs will begin their pursuit of the NFL’s first-ever Super Bowl three-peat against the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL Kickoff Game on Sept. 5 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Because that’s a Thursday, the Chiefs will be celebrating Red Wednesday a day earlier rather than their usual Red Friday bash.
Such a change is necessary when you win a Super Bowl.
The Chiefs will once again be selling special flags on Red Wednesday, and these will celebrate the team’s Super Bowl LVIII championship. Chiefs fans can order one of those flags early, as the team announced a special presale will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
This is from the Chiefs: “A special limited-quantity, online-only presale will go live on shop.chiefs.com at 1 p.m. CT … allowing fans in Kansas City and throughout the country to purchase this year’s Red Wednesday flag with guaranteed delivery before Red Wednesday.
“Flags purchased as part of the online presale will cost $10. There is a special free shipping offer for all flags purchased during the Wednesday presale, while any presale purchases after Wednesday — should flags remain available — will be subject to shipping charges.”
On Sept. 4 (Red Wednesday), fans in the Kansas City and St. Joseph areas will be able to purchase the flags at McDonald’s restaurants. The cost will be $5 with net proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. They’ll also be sold at Kansas City-area Hy-Vee stores on Red Wednesday.
Online sales on Sept. 4 will cost $10 and have a shipping charge.
The Chiefs said they have raised $5.5 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities through the sale of the flags over the past decade.
