NFL fans have made their OPINIONS clear about the NEW Super Bowl VENUE-o

NFL fans aren’t buying the idea of the league traveling overseas for a Super Bowl game down the road.
All 58 Super Bowl games have been played in various cities across the United States. Dates, cities and venues have already been announced for the next three big games, with SB 59 taking place at the New Orleans Saints’ home stadium, the Caesars Superdome.

The NFL has also seen an increase in global following thanks largely to their International Series. The league will continue to play games in England and Germany this year, with the first-ever NFL game in Brazil also on the schedule. The Philadelphia Eagles will play the Green Bay Packers in São Paulo on Sept. 6.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, London mayor Sadiq Khan floated the idea of England’s capital city one day hosting a Super Bowl game, per Caoimhe O’Neill and Omar Garrick of The Athletic:

“I want (Anthony) Joshua and (Daniel) Dubois to take place in London. I want international WrestleMania taking place in London. The Super Bowl is really important for us. We have a number of American football games and I want it to come here because we want American sports fans in Europe to come to London to watch them, not just go to America.”

Needless to say, NFL fans aren’t at all keen on the idea of the big game being played overseas:

For years, there have been talks about the city of London one day getting an NFL team. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been widely mentioned as a possible relocation franchise, but owner Shad Khan has emphasized that his plan is to keep the team in Duval County.

The three NFL games in London this year are: New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Chicago Bears and New England Patriots vs. Jaguars.

Super Bowl In London Is A Pipe Dream
As fun as the idea may be to some, there’s just no way the NFL will consider moving the Super Bowl outside of the United States any time soon.

Several fans on X/Twitter made good points about the time zone difference. You can’t start it 6:30 p.m. London time when they’re five hours ahead of the EST time zone, and eight hours ahead of the Pacific Time Zone.

NFL fans had much to say after FOX Sports’ Dave Helman shared his way-too-early prediction for the Super Bowl 59 matchup and winner.

Super Bowl 59 will be held inside the New Orleans Saints’ home venue, the Caesars Superdome, on Feb. 9 next year. The Kansas City Chiefs, fresh off a second straight Super Bowl championship, will aim to become the first team to complete the three-peat.

On the latest edition of the “NFL on FOX Podcast”, Helman shared his early predictions for the 2024-25 postseason. Helman predicted that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ will indeed pull off the three-peat by defeating Jordan Love’s Green Bay Packers in the big dance:
